Two new editions of FURORE magazine will be published simultaneously in April 2024.
Number 28 is entirely in English and contains an extensive interview with former ‘Boyfriend’ journalist Maureen O’Grady by Andre Barreau, the creative genius and founding member of The Bootleg Beatles. Other constributions include “Anatomy of a Photograph” by Mark Ashworth and “Beatles Signatures via Autopen” by Roger Stormo. On pages 48-49 Piet Schreuders presents the first accurate map of the Indian retreat where the Beatles, seeking spiritual enlightenment, spent almost two months in 1968.
Number 29, written in Dutch, contains 52 pages of interesting subjects such as the different jumpers worn by Nancy Sinatra on her record covers (as catalogued by Vic van de Reijt), Arthur Thiele’s caricature postcards, the original credit roll of the Beatles’s Dutch tv performance in 1964, and new research into “Blake and Mortimer” locations in London.
