Copy editor Fred Hermsen found this vinyl single sleeve while looking for images of people with balloons. It was the third item he saw as he browsed through his singles collection. Further research revealed that this record came out in October 1956, in other words, simultaneously with the theatrical release of THE RED BALLOON.
If this record was released at the same time as the movie, and has a direct relation to the film, it would be so interesting to be able to hear it, and listen to the lyrics. I hope that it may surface one day so we will know!
